This image of the Mourne Mountains, to me, is a great success in capturing the beauty of the area, a photograph never does the scene justice. I've been able to see the Mourne Mount ains from my home as a child growing up and they always had a ethereal feel to me, I attempted to show this quality by leaving the image almost transparent. In the bottom right I added my wife Trish. Her parents live in Dundrum County Down beside the mountains. It is very challenging to show mass in drawings, to show height and distance, I think the boulder like clouds add a lot in highlighting these qualities. Show more
