The Mourning Angels Ring is a band in 925 sterling silver carrying mourning angels, the winged figures of Christian funerary art carved bowed in grief above a grave. They are worked in relief around the band, heads lowered and wings drawn close rather than spread for flight.That bowed posture is what separates them from guardian angels: these are not watching over the living but grieving alongside them, which is why the ring is worn in remembrance.
