In the early 1950s, vibraphonist Red Norvo led a highly regarded trio with guitarist Tal Farlow and bassist Charles Mingus. They recorded a total of 20 tracks for Savoy Records, wi th 17 featured on this release. While it would have been nice to include all 20 songs, this selection still offers a good representation of their skilled musicianship. The group's chemistry is especially impressive on standout tracks like "Move," "I'll Remember April," "Zing Went the Strings of My Heart," and "Swedish Pastry." Show more
