Double Trouble is a pieced quilt pattern from Mountainpeek Creations™, designed by Kari Nichols. Five picture-center fabrics are each surrounded by frames and set against a main print, then finished with an inner and outer border. The pattern is charted in two sizes from the same layout, and at the smaller size the picture centers come from fat eighths — handy for showing off novelty or theme prints. Finished sizes 34½" x 40½" (crib size batting) 54½" x 76½" (twin size batting) Fabric requirements Main print — ⅔ yd or 1 yd (1⅙ yds if directional along the length of fabric) Picture centers — (5) fat eighths or (5) ¼ yd cuts Frames — ½ yd or ⅞ yd Binding — ⅓ yd or ⅝ yd; backing — 1⅜ yds or 4⅔ yds Inner border and outer border yardage is charted in the pattern Good to know The smaller size may not be suitable for border prints or length-of-fabric prints.
