Fractured Diamonds is a fat quarter friendly pieced quilt pattern from Mountainpeek Creations™, designed by Anna-Marie McNeely. Narrow 1⅝" strips are joined into light and dark strip sets and combined with large half square triangles, so the diamonds appear to be built from fine bands of colour. It uses light and dark fat quarters in near-equal numbers, which makes bundle shopping simple.Finished sizes Lap — 51¼" x 51¼" (12 light and 13 dark fat quarters) Twin — 69½" x 86¾" (21 light and 21 dark fat quarters) Queen — 86¾" x 104" (31 light and 31 dark fat quarters) Techniques used Strip sets pieced from 1⅝" strips cut across the fat quarter 9½" squares subcut once diagonally for the triangle units Fabric requirements Light and dark fat quarters as listed above Binding — ½ yd (lap), ⅔ yd (twin), ⅞ yd (queen) Backing — 3¼ yds, 5¼ yds or 7¾ yds Batting — twin, twin or queen Good to knowFor the lap size, 14" x 20" pieces of fabric can be substituted for fat quarters.Mountainpeek Creations™ pattern #333.
