Mr Kipling Bakewell Tarts are one of those things Britain collectively decided were important at some point, and honestly, who are we to argue. Some people might argue they’re not the finest expression of the artisan Bakewell, but put a box of these on the table with a cup of tea and none of that matters. Because it’s Mr Kipling. That little pastry case, the fruity plum and raspberry layer, almond-flavoured sponge, fondant icing and half a glacé cherry on top is pure afternoon tea, picnic, rainy-afternoon treat, packed-lunch, biscuit-tin, after-school nostalgia. The sort of thing you remember before you even taste it. People ask us for these constantly, which tells you everything you need to know. A box of 6 classic Mr Kipling Iced Bakewell Tarts that taste exactly like you remember. 250g
