Californian Poppy - Appleblossom Appleblossom is easy to grow and produces beautiful, bright, rose-pink, double 'frilly' blooms over neat, tufted foliage, reaching the height of 20 cm. Sow outdoors, March-May, where they are to flower, 0.5cm deep, directly into finely-prepared, well-drained soil, which has already been watered. Seedlings usually appear in 14-28 days.
