The MR Flying Fishwas introduced to the MR range in 27 and is MR's most popular fish design. Most fish models are wide and flat, which are fast down the line but won't surf rail to rail well. The MR Flying Fish is a unique shape in the MR range. The Flying Fish was designed to be surfed from rail to rail while also incorporating all the best characteristics of traditonal fish shapes such as planing speed and drive. This model has a narrower nose with a lower entry rocker for paddle power and planing speed. A single to double concave with an accentuated V within the double concave out the tail offers incredible acceleration and easy rail to rail transition. The wing in the tail assists with rail to rail transition and allows for quick directional changes. The Flying Fish was designed for 1 to 6 foot waves as a fun alternative to your usual shortboard. The recommended fin setup is an FCS II thruster and works best as a Twin Fin + trailer.
