This add-on board is designed to solder directly onto the MS3 daughterboard, providing two channels of knock input for the MS3 to use in retarding spark. This module features a significantly more sophisticated knock detection circuit compared to any previous MegaSquirt knock detection systems. Key Features: Programmable Bandpass Filter: Fine-tune the detection range to your specific engine. Adaptive Knock Levels: Adjusts detection thresholds with RPM for optimized performance. Per-Cylinder Assignment: Assign different cylinders to different sensors for precision tuning. Individual Gain Levels: Customize gain levels for each cylinder for greater control. Refer to the MS3 Manual for further details on setup and configuration. Knock Sensor Compatibility Our testing utilized the Bosch 0 261 231 008 sensor, a broadband (non-resonant) sensor type with no built-in filtering, making it suitable for a wide variety of bore sizes. Other similar Bosch sensors, such as the Bosch 0 261 231 006, should also work effectively. This knock module can also pair with tuned knock sensors if they are matched to your engine’s bore size. Compatibility This module is only compatible with the MS3/MS3X ECU Optional Installation Service If you are ordering this knock module alongside an assembled MS3, we can install the module during the ECU assembly for an additional $15 charge.
