Built with safety in mind, MSEL SSR Isolators have been designed with the sole purpose of living in a motorsport environment. Utilizing solid state switching components, the Master Relay has excellent temperature resistance, as well as an aluminum enclosure that is lightweight and robust in even the harshest motorsport environment. Both race car battery isolators are identical and offer the same functionality aside from the connection type. The Club Level isolator includes a flying lead harness to be terminated to the connector of your choosing. The Professional Level isolator utilizes a Souriau connection (mating connector available in the dropdown). It meets all FIA requirements for a motorsport battery isolator, handling 200A continuous current (1000A peak) at 25°C, and performs an alternator discharge before disconnecting the battery to prevent load dump damage to vehicle electronics. It provides CAN-bus messaging for logging, diagnostics, and safety (shutdown reason, current, voltage at relay output, voltage at battery, and shutdown commands for other CAN devices), an LED status light, and a Souriau 8STA connector for switched inputs, ground, CAN, and output trigger. The unit has built-in short circuit protection, a supply voltage range of 8-30V, only 0.001A standby current draw, and is housed in a lightweight CNC aluminium case sealed to IP63, weighing 115g. It is available in a Club Level version with a flying lead harness for termination to a connector of choice, or a Professional Level version with a Souriau connector (mating connector available with or without boot options).", "image": [ "https://racespeconline.com/cdn/shop/products/power-distribution-msel-solid-state-battery-isolator-1_2000x.jpg?v=1539800150", "https://racespeconline.com/cdn/shop/products/power-distribution-msel-solid-state-battery-isolator-2_2000x.jpg?v=1539800150", "https://racespeconline.com/cdn/shop/products/power-distribution-msel-solid-state-battery-isolator-3_2000x.jpg?v=1539800150" ], "category": "Relays & Power Distribution / Battery Isolators", "brand": { "@type": "Brand", "name": "MSEL" }, "additionalProperty": [ { "@type": "PropertyValue", "name": "Compliance", "value": "Meets all FIA requirements for a motorsport battery isolator" }, { "@type": "PropertyValue", "name": "Switching Technology", "value": "Solid state, MOSFET-based, no moving parts" }, { "@type": "PropertyValue", "name": "Continuous Current Rating", "value": "200A continuous at 25°C (1000A peak)" }, { "@type": "PropertyValue", "name": "Load Dump Protection", "value": "Performs alternator discharge before battery disconnection to prevent load dump damage" }, { "@type": "PropertyValue", "name": "Switching Type", "value": "Switches positive" }, { "@type": "PropertyValue", "name": "CAN-bus Functionality", "value": "Reports shutdown reason, current through relay, voltage at relay output, voltage at battery, and sends shutdown command to other CAN devices" }, { "@type": "PropertyValue", "name": "Status Indicator", "value": "LED status light" }, { "@type": "PropertyValue", "name": "Connector", "value": "Souriau 8STA connector for switched inputs, ground, CAN and output trigger" }, { "@type": "PropertyValue", "name": "Short Circuit Protection", "value": "Built-in short protection" }, { "@type": "PropertyValue", "name": "Supply Voltage Range", "value": "8V to 30V" }, { "@type": "PropertyValue", "name": "Standby Current Draw", "value": "0.001A" }, { "@type": "PropertyValue", "name": "Enclosure", "value": "CNC aluminium case, sealed to IP63" }, { "@type": "PropertyValue", "name": "Weight", "value": "115g" }, { "@type": "PropertyValue", "name": "Variant Options", "value": "Club Level (Flying Lead); Professional (Souriau) with No Boot, Straight Boot, or 90° Boot" } ], "offers": { "@type": "AggregateOffer", "url": "https://racespeconline.com/products/msel-solid-state-battery-isolator", "priceCurrency": "USD", "lowPrice": "485.10", "highPrice": "485.10", "offerCount": "4", "availability": "https://schema.org/InStock", "itemCondition": "https://schema.org/NewCondition", "seller": { "@id": "https://racespeconline.com/#organization" } } }, { "@type": "BreadcrumbList", "@id": "https://racespeconline.com/products/msel-solid-state-battery-isolator#breadcrumb", "itemListElement": [ { "@type": "ListItem", "position": 1, "name": "Homepage", "item": "https://racespeconline.com/" }, { "@type": "ListItem", "position": 2, "name": "Relays", "item": "https://racespeconline.com/collections/relays-fuses-power-distribution/Relays" }, { "@type": "ListItem", "position": 3, "name": "MSEL Solid State Battery Isolator", "item": "https://racespeconline.com/products/msel-solid-state-battery-isolator" } ] } ] }
