MSK-CE-R2R is a corona (air plasma) treatment machine integrated with an automatic Roll to Roll system. It is mainly used to pre-process various cast film substrates on a roll-to-roll (R2R). The corona treatment section uses a ceramic roller for the discharge electrodes. This device uses high-frequency and high-voltage electric power to generate corona discharge, which is low-temperature plasma, capable of processing conductive materials such as copper foil and others. The plasma cleaning improves the polarization of the surface of the conductive foil. The roll-to-roll unit allows the substrate to be cleaned continuously. Such a technique can improve the substrate adhesion as well as the coating quality.
