A versatile, modular water filtration system that combines the speed of a pump filter with the convenience of a gravity setup. Built around the proven hollow fibre technology used in the MSR TrailShot Microfilter, the Trail Base system allows you to adapt your filtration method depending on the situation—whether you're moving fast or filtering larger volumes at camp. In “on-the-go” mode, it functions as a compact pump filter for quick access to safe drinking water. At camp, it converts into a gravity system using the included reservoirs and hoses, making it ideal for groups or extended stays where higher water capacity is needed. Key Features: Dual-mode system: pump filter + gravity filter Hollow fibre technology removes bacteria and protozoa High flow rate for efficient water collection Modular design for flexibility in the field Includes reservoirs and hoses for gravity setup Suitable for solo use or small groups A highly adaptable filtration solution—well suited to backcountry travel where efficiency, flexibility, and reliable water treatment are critical.
