Alcohol percentage: 11.5% Area: Clare Valley, a relatively cool area home to thrilling dry riesling (the best in the new world), some fresh reds and this lively sweet white. Grape variety: 100% Riesling, the vine cane ‘cut’ when mature, allowing a natural drying process in the open air. Producer: Stephanie Toole has run Mt Horrocks since 1993. She has just 10 hectares, all produced to exacting standards in both the vineyard and winery. The perfect example of the over-used term “hand-made”.
