Built in the mid-1970s to the 1980s, these 100-ton coal hoppers with Barber Roller Bearing trucks belonged to SLSF and ATSF prior to being obtained by BNSF in the mid-1990s. Burlin gton Northern was formed through the mergers of Great Northern and Northern Pacific in 1970, and then merged with ATSF in 1995 to form BNSF.
