Muddy Arch Winery is located in historic Napa Valley and winemaker Chris Leonard has strong relationships with grape growers in Napa and surrounding wine regions. This red blend is a unique combination of three varietals, each picked a week or two earlier to make sure that they do not become over-ripe and sweet. Chris Leonard wanted this wine to be true to the varietal characteristics of the grapes and not a high-alcohol “fruit bomb” red wine often associated with American Zinfandel-based wines. This red blend is Zinfandel (44%), Carignane (32%), and Petit Verdot (24%). The result is a beautifully aromatic and flavorful red wine, combining an old-world approach to winemaking with the terroir of California. Show more
