At just under seven inches tall, this figure was almost certainly placed at a sanctuary, possibly Olympia, where hundreds of similar offerings accumulated on altar edges and temple floors.The "Corinthian ?" attribution remains tentative after more than a century of scholarship, a question mark that has followed the object from its 1921 acquisition onward.
