The oil made from the flowers of the mullein plant help pain and inflammation associated with earaches. It can also help fight influenza, herpes viruses and some bacteria that cause respiratory infections. Traditional uses include bruises, burns, hemorrhoids and gout. Mullein leaves have been applied topically to soften and protect the skin. Directions Steep 1-3 tsp of in a cup of boiling water for 3-5 minutes depending on desired strength.
