I really wanted to see if an organic bio-mass would look really contrasting to something mechanical and simple in it's design. As opposed to more exotic timbers, alder is not endangered, making it a great eco-friendly choice. Alder also has a fantastic reputation for machining and wood turning making it a very useful material for furniture and picture frames. Hanging hardware is included too!
