The Multicolor Fairy Wrasse, also widely known as Lubbock’s Fairy Wrasse, is a hardy, vibrantly colored, and highly active marine fish native to the coral reefs of the Western Pacific. Reaching a compact adult maximum size of 3 to 3.5 inches, this species is highly favored by aquarists for its stunning color variations and energetic personality. Depending on their regional origin, males display a beautiful mix of bright yellow, deep red, violet, and pink along their bodies, often accented by a bright neon-blue edge along their dorsal and anal fins. Minimum Tank Size: 30 to 50 gallons (making them excellent choices for smaller reef setups compared to larger wrasses). Water Temperature: 72°F to 78°F. Water Chemistry: pH 8.1–8.4, Specific Gravity 1.020–1.025, Alkalinity 8–12 dKH. Diet: Active carnivore requiring a varied diet of vitamin-enriched mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, and high-quality marine flakes or pellets fed multiple times daily to maintain their high metabolism.
