About the Design: Multiholk Yellow Cottage The yellow hue of the Multiholk Villa echoes one of today's most prevalent house colours in Sweden. Towards the late 17th century, Stockholm's city architect envisioned a city shining with light and enhanced beauty. King Charles XII issued a decree urging citizens to paint their homes yellow to realise this vision. The opulent palaces of Southern Europe inspired this colour choice; the intent was for the yellow to mimic the sandstone used in extravagant architectural works. A Wooden Birdhouse for Small Garden Birds Our Multiholks are cottage-shaped wooden birdhouses developed in collaboration with ornithological experts. We have meticulously designed each to serve as an optimal nest for small garden birds, such as sparrows or tits. Internal climbing grooves help fledglings navigate toward the exit hole, an essential step in their initial flight. Carefully positioned ventilation holes maintain a cosy nest temperature during hot summer days. For the safety of birds, always mount the Multiholk at least 150 centimetres above the ground. Our bird feeders prioritise bird health by preventing direct contact with the food. The design additionally shields the food from the elements, prolonging its freshness.
