Measure the size of your horse's FOREHEAD Measure from the outer corner of one eye, UP AND ACROSS along your horse's forehead to the outer corner of the other eye. This will measure the widest part of your horse's forehead when done correctly. NOTE: Do NOT measure straight across the eyes as the distance will result in a Fly Mask size likely too small for your horse. How to Apply & Ensure a Correct Fit Ensuring your Multi-Purpose Helmet is properly sized to your horse is essential to receiving the maximum benefits of its superior design elements. Adjust the integrated Poll halter strap behind the ears to ensure it is snug, (about 1 finger width) but not too tight that would interfere with jaw movement or cause rubbing. Adjust the lower face halter strap to ensure the helmet is stable on the horse's head. Secure the quick-release buckle strap under the chin to complete assembly. Watch your horse for a moment while eating to see their head position up and down. By doing this, you can gauge how much more strap to adjust. The custom zippered fly mask jacket can be secured to the helmet using the 4 Velcro tabs through the halter straps. The helmet can be used with or without the fly mask jacket. Cleaning and Maintenance Wash with mild liquid soap, rinse well and dry with a soft cloth. Do NOT soak it in a solution.
