This is intended for when the rail still needs to be sawn to size. Sawing to size must always be done with the sawing strip still in the rail! This is to prevent the copper electrical wire from being damaged during sawing or from rolling out of the plastic insert. After sawing, or when the STAS multirail is already the correct length, this wooden strip can easily be removed.
