Murano glass centrepiece RECTANGULAR is entirely handmade following the millenary Venetian tradition. It is manufactured in a furnace with temperatures reaching 1400°C, where molten glass and coloured minerals blend. It is then encased in a crystal glass and finally blown into a mold that can roughly define a shape and a size. The object is left to cool down slowly in special ovens for 48/72 hours. In the Moleria, the glass creation is modelled by hand with machinery's aid through grinding powders and using cold engraving techniques. Each piece is unique and might be slightly different from the product shown since it is entirely handmade. All creations by Alessandro Mandruzzato bear the “Vetro Artistico Murano” trademark.
