Microseris lanceolata (murnong or yam daisy) is an Australian native food plant traditionally eaten by Aboriginal peoples. It grows about 20–40 cm tall and prefers open, sunny gras slands, tolerating relatively dry conditions once established. Its tuberous roots can be eaten raw or cooked, especially roasted or baked, with a soft texture and mildly sweet, nutty flavour. The yellow daisy-like flowers are also edible and can be used fresh in salads or as a garnish. Supplied in 140mm pots. Show more
