The Bass Popper is excellent for top water action for smallmouth bass during the summer. Cast these around shady banks and downed trees which offer big bass some protection from pr edators. Then strip it across the top in spurts, but be ready for the hit! The green/yellow color represents as a frog or a large dragonfly skating across the top of the water. The red/yellow color works best as a sunfish replica. We use the black as a representation of a damsel. The chartreuse is easy to see and often we use this with a popper/dropper presentation. Come tied on a size 6 hook. Each popper comes with a weed guard attached. For our purposes in Virginia, we remove the weed guard but anglers in the USA southern states keep them on. Show more
