2024 was a fantastic growing year for Muscat, and after many requests, we are thrilled to say it's back! New York Muscat is a varietal that is perfectly suited for our cool climate and terroir, gaining the reputation of being the most aromatic of Nova Scotia grapes. Beautifully intense on the nose, this wine displays notes of candied ginger, fresh citrus and lychee. Produced in a dry style with a long, balanced finish, it is perfect to enjoy on its own or paired with any spicy dish. About the Terroir Series: Our wines are a true reflection of the land we call home. Grand Pré in the Annapolis Valley is not only our namesake because of its land, but because of its people. In the early 1600s, the first wine grapes were planted in Canada, followed by the Acadians who transformed the Grand Pré marshlands in the 1700s.Transforming this land by hand and cultivating grapes was ambitious, taking great tenacity. Now, 400 years later, we passionately continue this tradition of adaptively growing grapes and making beautiful terroir focused wines with care.The image of the farmer planting a vine pays homage to those who first cultivated grapes here hundreds of years ago—and to today’s growers who carry that tradition forward. They continue to evolve their methods and expertise, working their vineyards by hand to ensure the highest careand quality.
