Live edge round top The tabletop is flat and smooth on top with visible wood grain rings. The outer edge is left natural, rising and dipping in gentle waves where the wood wanted to go. The surface holds a coffee cup, a book, a small lamp, a candle, or a potted plant. The irregular edge gives the top a handmade character that a perfectly round machine-cut table cannot match. Sculpted mushroom stem The stem starts wide at the floor, pulls inward at the midsection, and flares again where it meets the underside of the top. The curves are smooth and continuous, shaped to resemble a real mushroom stem. The base is flat on the bottom for stable placement on any floor surface.
