It also prefers to grow in well-drained soil but is adaptable to several different types of soil.After choosing your location, dig a hole that’s two or three times the width of your Muskogee’s root ball. Place the tree in the hole, tamp down the soil and then water.Fertilizer: Feed your Muskogee Crape with a well-balanced fertilizer during early spring.Watering: Water your Muskogee Crape Myrtle deeply and regularly (about once per week) during its first growing season to establish the tree’s roots.
