What's in this booklet? Myelofibrosis (MF) is a usually slow-growing type of blood cancer that causes scarring of your bone marrow. It stops your bone marrow from making enough healthy blood cells. This booklet covers what MF is, including how it is diagnosed and what treatments you might be offered. We also include practical information about living with MF. Our information is aimed at people in the UK. We do our best to make sure it is accurate and up-to-date but it should not replace advice or guidance from a health professional.
