Myriophyllum mattogrossense is a beautiful feathery-leaved stem plant from South America with very fine, pinnate leaves arranged in whorls around upright stems, creating a soft, almost misty texture that is highly valued in planted aquascaping. Its delicate appearance provides a striking visual contrast to broad-leaved plants and a soft backdrop texture when planted in groups in the background.It is a moderately demanding plant requiring bright light and CO2 injection for compact, well-structured growth. Without CO2 the fine leaves can deteriorate and growth becomes sparse and unsatisfying. A nutritious substrate and regular liquid fertilisation with trace elements support healthy, consistent development.
