One of Sweden's first coffee companies founded in 1836 On Snapperupsgatan 4 you’ll meet a beautiful brick facade dating back to 1929 when N.Åbergs Kafferosteri was located in the property. N.Åbergs Kafferosteri was one of Sweden's first coffee companies founded in 1836 with a rich history. Nils Åberg, who was born in Anderslöv in March 1805, came via Lund to Malmö in 1816. Here he started working with the merchant Carl Frick. The years passed, and in 1836 Nils got his bursary in action. The business grew and after some time he started N.Åbergs Kafferosteri, one of the first coffee companies in Sweden. But before that, he also bought a property, Åbergska Huset on Stortorget 4, where he both lived and his furniture business flourished.
