N.S.C. products are designed to last for years, when cared for correctly. In the first instance, we recommend airing your knitwear outside. Remove small stains with a cloth and cool water. Piling can be removed with a wool shaver. When a wash is necessary we suggest hand washing. Hand Wash Mix a wool specific detergent with lukewarm water and swirl the garment delicately in the water. To dry, lay the garment on a flat surface and gently squeeze excess water from the wool with a towel. Do not twist or wring out a jumper. Stretch it gently to the correct size and shape before letting it air-dry laid flat. Softener can be added just before the final rinse if desired. Machine Wash Although not recommended, if a machine wash is necessary, knitwear can be washed using a wool specific detergent on a cold wool cycle with a low spin. Never tumble dry.
