Assembly Instructions Product Description These Zippy spacers and blade inserts designed for the Nabalis Impulse butterfly knife trainer are made from a shatter-proof polyurethane. The spacers extend and protect the handles, feature positive jimping, and enable adjustable balance with up to 3x removable tungsten weights per spacer. The blade inserts increase momentum and enable you to adjust the balance with the optional tungsten-weighted tip insert. Compatibility: Spacers are compatible with the trainer blade. Spacers can be modified slightly in ~60 seconds to be compatible with the live blade by using a knife to cut away a small amount of material on the channel-side of the safe spacer to prevent contact with the blade. Features Trainer blade inserts add tip weight for increased momentum and weigh 0.08 oz (empty) up to 0.122 (weighted). Each trainer insert comes with a weighted and an unweighted tip for enhanced balance customization. Spacers extend handles of the Nabalis Impulse balisong from 5.58" to 5.75". Shatter-proof extensions protect handles from hard drops. Adjustable balance: The Zippy spacers can achieve a more neutral or a more handle-biased balance by adding and removing the included 3x tungsten weights per spacer. These spacers can match the weight of the stock spacers with all weights installed, but shift the weight distribution further from the pivots to increase momentum and handle bias. More neutral balance can be achieved than the stock spacers by using less than 3 weights per spacer. Positive jimping for extra grip on ladders and chokers. Each spacer weighs 0.039 oz empty, or up to 0.103 oz with the tungsten weight installed. For comparison, a stock Impulse spacer weighs 0.106 oz. Weight Configurations for Nabalis Impulse Balisong: Stock: 3.569 oz With Zippy Blade Inserts: 3.649 oz (unweighted), 3.690 oz (weighted). With Zippy Spacers: 3.435 oz (unweighted), 3.563 oz (with all 6x weights). With Zippy Spacers and Blade Inserts: 3.514 oz (unweighted), 3.685 oz (with all 8x weights). My personal referred balance configuration is 2x weights per spacer, and all blade inserts with zero or one weight in the blade.
