Nadia Eggplant is a hybrid variety with the traditional European, oval shape. Plants produce uniformly-shaped fruits that are 7-8" long and 3-4" wide. At optimum harvest size, plants will weigh about 1 lb each. Fruits are glossy and have a dark purple to black color. Nadia is a high-yielding variety that has outperformed other traditional varieties in production trials. It has the ability to set fruit even in cooler conditions, increasing productivity. This allows for a longer harvest period in fall as the temperature cools. Fruits also have slow internal seed development, which provides a longer holding ability and more leniency for harvest time. Nadia Eggplant has a wide variety of culinary applications. It is great when stuffed or grilled. It also does well in more traditional eggplant dishes.
