Nadorcotts are a natural hybridization of the Murcott mandarin that was discovered in the 1970s, and they take their name from the man who found them, Dr. El-Bachir Nadori, and Murcotts. “Nador” from Nadori and “cott” from Murcott. Nadorcotts are also known as Afourer mandarins, and they are also marketed as Delites, ClemenGolds, and Clemcotts. They boast a naturally long shelf life, and are known for being consistent in size and firmness. Enjoy them as is, or use their segments in salads, desserts, and grazing boards. Nadorcotts are excellent for juicing, and they are ideal for marinades, vinaigrettes, and sauces. Their segments are sturdy enough to be dipped in chocolate and chilled for an indulgent snack.
