The original material of these earrings is the nakar shell from the ocean, but they were turned into their final form in the distant Amazon. They have been dyed into a variety of b eautiful pastel colors. The medium pieces (1" x 5/8") and narrow pieces (1"x 3/8") have a pair of rough white and matching colored beads. The large pair is 1.5" x 1.25". These earrings are made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years.
