We were lucky enough to secure multiple pieces by the artist, Albert Galland, at an auction of his works in Marseille. Albert Galland (1926 - 2013) was a French painter and sculptor, known for his abstract and geometric works. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and later became associated with the post-war modern art movement, particularly in the realm of abstract art. Galland’s works often feature bold, vivid colors, and strong geometric shapes, demonstrating a precise approach to form and composition. His art evolved over the years, incorporating elements of minimalism, constructivism, and even a hint of surrealism, though he maintained a focus on abstraction. His pieces were displayed in numerous exhibitions across Europe, and his work remains influential in the field of abstract expressionism and modern French art. dimensions: 11.75"W x 8.25"H
