A mid 20th century all wool Afghan carpet. A charming little lead seal at one end would have been attached when it was first sold (see photo - this can easily be cut off if wished) . Large guls in dark blue and black pattern on a ground of maroon and dark red. The overall effect is rich and subtle. Medium pile with striped woven ends.
