This high shear technique has been employed predominantly by Liposome manufacturers for many years. In using this technique, an entire emulsion can be processed via this high-shear method, producing rather interesting results. After processing the traditional non-ionic emulsion in this manner, the resultant particle size is then less than 150 nanometers. This processing enables the use of lower levels of emulsifiers, than would normally be found in a standard emulsion system. The Sprayable Lotion Base can then be employed in a dilution of 20-50% in order to prepare exquisite, light, and milky sprayable lotions. In the Asian marketplace, milky, almost water-thin, emulsions are extremely popular for their exquisite feel. Unlike the more traditional emulsion, these milky thin emulsions have a much more rapid drying time than do traditional thicker emulsions. It is the high-shear processing and dramatically decreased particle size that allows for this action. Our Sprayable Lotion Base may also be used to produce elegant fragrance delivery systems. The particle size of the Sprayable Lotion Base allows for an enhanced and long lasting fragrance lift. Any water soluble fragrance may be added to the water phase of the development of the final formulation. Any non-aqueous fragrance may be incorporated into the water phase of the final formulation with the use of Polysorbate 20. Any other water soluble or non-aqueous ingredients may be incorporated in the same fashion as the fragrance additives. Furthermore, Our Sprayable Lotion Base may also be used in the preparation of more viscous creams or lotions with the addition of a thickening agent, in sprayable hair conditioners, or sprayable deodorant preparations.
