Napanook is the second wine of Dominus Estate — Christian Moueix's celebrated Napa Valley project — and a wine of remarkable pedigree in its own right. Named for the historic Napan ook Vineyard in Yountville, one of the oldest continuously farmed vineyards in Napa Valley, the 2023 vintage is a Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend that channels the elegance and restraint of its Pomerol-trained winemaker.The nose is refined and layered: dark plum, blackberry, and black olive are interwoven with notes of graphite, dried herbs, and a whisper of violet. On the palate, the wine is medium-full bodied with supple, well-structured tannins and a freshness that belies its richness.
