Over a year in development, this is not a tweaked residential template but one developed specifically for commercial inspections. “Commercial” covers Many Inspection Types This commercial template can be used "as is", but the best way to use the template is to create two duplicates. Using the duplicates, delete specific CHAPTERS and SECTIONS to create two custom templates, one for hotels, motels, and apartment buildings (where narratives have a space for room/address numbers), and one with narratives without numbers. Other specialized templates can be created using the same method. This reduces template size and makes it faster to use. Does it follow the CCPIA Standards of Practice (SOPs)? This template content exceeds the requirements of the CCPIA SOPs. Inspection templates and inspection Standards serve different purposes. This template is organized in manner optimized for the inspection process, so it covers the standards but doesn't follow them. How do commercial comments differ from residential? Commercial clients are generally more sophisticated than residential clients. Not only do they not need to be told to hire a "qualified" contractor, but they may also have staff qualified to handle deficiencies.
