This lovely artist-painted ceramic/porcelain Nativity Set includes twelve figures. Jesus, Mary, Joseph, the three kings, a shepherd carrying a lamb, a cow, donkey, two sheep, and an angel, were all hand-painted by Eleda with care, in the 1990s. The kings wear rich, shimmering outfits, while Jesus's family and the shepherd are dressed in the common, earthen-toned colors of the day. They have a glossy finish for durability, and come in their original box with Styrofoam insert to hold each figure safely. This one-of-a-kind set includes details like a silver star-and-moon pattern on the Blue King's robes, shading on the animals, and a pearly blue-white dress for the angel. Each piece is signed underneath by the artist. The outer box shows wear from use, but it protects the set well and all the figures are in pristine condition. This is a sweet set that deserves a home where it can come out annually to announce the season. It will require a fairly large shipping box, and weighs over 6# boxed, so shipping cost will reflect that. It is sure to become a family heirloom that you look forward to setting up each year.
