The smallest swaps often make the biggest difference. Trading a plastic dish brush for a natural one is exactly that sort of change, and the Simple Things dish brush makes it an easy, good-looking one. It is one of our favourite everyday essentials in our kitchen collection. Natural by design This brush pairs a natural wooden handle with a 50mm head of tampico fibre, a robust natural material drawn from the agave plant. It is the kind of honest, pared-back piece that earns its place on the bench rather than being hidden under the sink. Built to work, and to last Tampico has wonderful water-retaining properties and is genuinely hard-wearing, holding its shape without softening over time. The fibre has tiny hooks along each shaft, which gives it a natural, gently abrasive quality, perfect for lifting residue from dishes, pots and pans without scratching. Best of all, the head is replaceable, so when it eventually wears you simply swap in a fresh tampico replacement head rather than tossing the whole thing away. A natural cleaning set If you are slowly moving towards a plastic-free kitchen, this brush sits beautifully alongside our Good Change wooden dish brush and the wider Ecomax natural brush range, so you can build a coordinated, sustainable set over time. Frequently Asked Questions What is tampico fibre? It is a natural, durable fibre from the agave plant, prized for being water-retaining, hard-wearing and naturally abrasive without being harsh. Is it plastic-free?The handle and natural fibre head are a lovely plastic-free alternative to a standard dish brush. Can I replace the head?Yes. The 50mm head is replaceable, so you can refresh the brush without replacing the handle, reducing waste and cost over time. Will it scratch my dishes? No. The fibre is gently abrasive, so it lifts residue effectively while remaining kind to glass, pots and pans. A lovely little addition to a foodie hamper or eco-gift set, it is small, useful and always appreciated.
