The full width of the carpet roll has to be purchased, even if the finished size of area rug is smaller. When ordering, always add 2" to the length so they can ensure a straight cut and perfectly square edges during the finishing process. Linear patterns should run the length of the carpet. (Aberdeen, Leone, Stapleford) Finishing options: Standard binding or Serged binding. The standard bind is a thin ribbon of material/fabric sewn around the edges to match the carpet color.
