Plants are the foundation of our survival, as a food source for us and for the animals we can eat, and as medicines to reduce pain, calm nerves, reduce inflammation, soothe a sunburn, and many more. Some plants can also cause severe health issues to humans and our pets. Students will build a medicinal plant book, include pictures or pressed specimens, identify their common and scientific names as well as their uses to heal or harm. At the end of the week, they get to keep their book, and hopefully add to it. WHEN: This afternoon STEAM camp (1:00 to 5:00 p.m.) will be held on July 14-18, 2026 and is for ages 7 and up. All sessions have a take-home product from their week with us! Cost: $190 / week for a 1/2 day). The morning session for these weeks is Painting & Drawing. You can sign up for a full-day camp for $360 (see Full Day Summer STEAM Camps found HERE). If the cost of this class is a barrier, scholarship funds are available for low-income families. Please contact us for details. Refunds: As we only offer 12 students per camp, we cannot offer a refund once you sign up and pay. Your payment secures your spot, which is completely reserved for you.
