The summer may be gone but here we have something to remember it by. This piece reminds me of of my days sat looking at St Mary's island in beautiful Whitley Bay. This is a beautif ul set of three handmade, hand painted storage chests.Once again this is a bespoke piece. It has many uses both as a set and as independent pieces. Each chest is very sturdy, they had been left out in a cold shed and needed a lot of love and attention.I sanded their external wood right back, then I painted them using Frenchic, Hornblower, Ducky and my own blend of blues on the top chest. I used to a mixture of mediums to decorate the chests including furniture transfers by re design by prima, decoupage and hand painting to give this piece a nautical sea side look. I've used traditional metal hasp fastenings and kept the original side handles. As always I've finished them off with two coats of yacht varnish so they dont get damaged when being used in your home. Ready to go to their new forever home.
