Hancock' is a style we crated a few years back with the idea of creating a belt design that was classy and elegant yet at the same time had its own distinctive character. Striking the balance between detail that enhances and detail that distracts was key, the idea was to keep things minimal with just a hint of contemporary style to show a sense of individuality. For this season we decided to move the belt into more casual territory, away from smarter cordovan leather and into suede for a more relaxed, sporty feel. The belt has the same S shaped ridges inserted under the surface as ever but we have highlighted these as well as the edges with contrast brighter blue tonal stitching to make them stand out a little more. These ridges repeat along the strap every 25cms adding a nice bit of handcrafted detail. In this Navy Blue suede iteration you have a fabulous belt that can be used for both casual and smart casual occasions - great for jeans, chinos and any casual trouser...this is a belt that will sit wonderfully on navy, grey , burgundy as well as earthy tones and white in summer! Obviously it will also be a perfect partner to similarly toned blue shoes. For our buckle choice we have gone with a sleek solid brass satin gold buckle to give the belt a warm rich feel whilst keep the belt looking elegant and sharp with the focus clearly on the design, texture and colour. Wear this style and people will know you are willing to experiment with the smallest of details to create your own individuality - like the jazz maestro the belt is named after!
