A rich, characterful blend of aged Pot Still Scottish Rums, our NB Spiced Rum brings together layers of fruit, spice, smoke and oak. Our aged rum has been maturing for two years in an ex-Oloroso sherry cask, developing a subtle depth of oak and rich fruit character. We’ve added smoked black cherries and smoked Spanish oranges, prepared especially for us by the wonderful team at Belhaven Smokehouse, along with natural spices including cinnamon cassia bark, grains of paradise and kibbled ginger, plus a touch of “vanilla-ism” from Bali. Finally, a little Grade A organic maple syrup adds a gentle sweetness, bringing all the flavours together beautifully. Tasting Notes - The Nose: a whisper of smoke, red fruit and oak from the aged rum, with subtle black cherry notes reminiscent of Black Forest. The Palate: soft, rounded and full-bodied, with delicate cherry and orange followed by warming ginger, vanilla and gentle spice. The result is a beautifully balanced rum with layers of fruit, smoke and oak, and just a touch of sweetness. Try It: enjoy neat to appreciate the full depth of flavour, or over ice.
