She studied interior architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design in the United States before founding her first company in the UK, where she designed and produced custom furniture. After a 40-year absence, she returned to Beirut and found an absence of modern Middle Eastern furniture design. From that discovery, she established East & East, a brand through which she brought together Eastern heritage and minimalist elegance.
