What we think: We love how smoky Neandertal Us is right from the opening! Even if you normally dislike oud, with the way it's blended here, or maybe because there are other strong dark notes as well, the oud doesn't stand out in the gross barnyard kind of way. Instead, this is all around roasted smoky, spice, burning cade, earth, animalic, and woods, but with a freshness to it as well.
